Washburn Custom Builders, owned by Steve Washburn and his wife, Jeanette Washburn, have been in the home building industry in Tucson since 1973. Since founding the company in 1986, the Washburns have designed and built many distinctive homes in Southern Arizona.

The company, Washburn Custom Builders was named the SAHBA Custom Builder of the Year in 2006, has established a reputation of working with its clients and architects to build their dream home while controlling construction costs, implementing energy efficient building techniques and providing a finished home that reflects both quality and creativity.

The company has built homes up to 10,000 square feet on nearly every type of lot Tucson has to offer. The creativity, experience, and "can do" attitude that Washburn Builders brings to the table has helped many of their clients build high equity into their Custom Homes as soon as they move in.

Washburn Custom Builders specializes in construction of homes on steep and rocky hillsides. Through creative design, Washburn is able to keep costs down while utilizing new technology and innovative products including green building products.

Washburn Custom Builders has been a Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA) Certified Custom Builder since 1987.

In December 2006, Washburn Custom Builders received the 2006 National Pacesetter Award presented by Custom Home magazine for innovation, best building practices and use of new products. Only two builders nationwide were recognized with this award. The award included an article about Washburn Custom Builders in the November/December 2006 issue of Custom Home.
