At the March 15th groundbreaking ceremonies in Marana, about 80 people visited the future site of the seven, million-dollar homes for the 2008 SAHBA Parade of Homes
Marana Mayor Ed Honea applauded SAHBA’s Parade because “it will bring jobs and is an asset to the community. We appreciate homebuilding.”
The Sonoran Preserve on the Bajada project will feature luxury homes that SAHBA Certified Custom Home Builders will build. Sears Financial Corporation is the property developer.

Each custom home in the Parade, set for February 2-17, 2008, will feature the latest in home design and technology, “green build” practices, and superior energy-efficiency standards.
In partnership with Southwest Gas, a Parade of Homes Major Sponsor, all homes will carry the Energy Star certification. A unique designation to the SAHBA Parade of Homes, this is the first time the Energy Star program has been available in Southern Arizona to a custom home project.
